KL Rahul scored 84 runs in Gabba Test of BGT 2024-25.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar slammed speedster Mohammed Siraj after having a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja while batting during day 4 of the third Test match against Australia at Gabba. Siraj came to bat at number nine after Pat Cummins picked up Nitish Kumar Reddy's wicket and at that time the visitors were quite a bit away from avoiding follow-on.

During the 62nd over, Jadeja took a single off the fourth ball and it seemed like Siraj would play out the next two balls. However, Siraj took a single off the next ball but not before a massive mix-up between the batters. If that was a direct hit then that would change things for India but it was a wide throw and the batters managed to complete the single. Jadeja was also looking disappointed with that. Gavaskar suggested Siraj to think about the team.

"Even now, in the middle of the crease, they are having a conversation. Siraj is having a conversation. What's going on over here? One ball is left in the over. All you've got to do is stick around. There is no run. It looks to be in a very casual manner. Look at that. There's got to be some cricketing awareness. You are a no.9 batter. You have to think about team. You cannot think of taking risky singles," Gavaskar said on Star Sports.

Ravindra Jadeja was the second-highest run scorer for India in the Gabba Test. He scored 77 runs before Australian skipper got him out. India were in a spot of bother when Akash Deep joined Jasprit Bumrah as they needed 33 runs to avoid the follow-on and put the third Test against Australia in Brisbane on course for a draw.

The duo stitched a 39-run unbeaten partnership for the 10th wicket to make Australia bat again in Gabba on Day 5 in Gabba. The ongoing five-Test match series between India and Australia is currently locked 1-1.
