India vs Australia Perth Test Day 2 report

Yashasvi Jaiswal displayed excellent game awareness and precise shot selection, while KL Rahul showcased solid technique during an unbeaten opening partnership of 172. Their efforts put India in a commanding position with a 218-run overall lead on the second day of the first Test.

Earlier, skipper Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding 11th five-wicket haul dismantled Australia for just 104. In response, Jaiswal (90 not out off 193 balls) and Rahul (62 not out off 154 balls) adopted a traditional Test match approach, patiently waiting for loose deliveries and showing respect to quality fast bowling.

The duo demonstrated their defensive skills by accumulating 88 runs in 31 overs during the post-tea session, with Jaiswal inching closer to a well-deserved century in his first Test on Australian soil.
