Rishabh Pant is on a record-breaking spree in England. After a dominating display in the first innings with 146-run knock, Pant scored 57 runs in the second innings and broke a 72-year-old record that belonged to West Indies' Clyde Walcott.

Now, Pant holds the record for most runs as a touring wicketkeeper-batter in England. In total, he scored 203 runs in the ongoing rescheduled Test against Ben Stokes-led side. Clyde Walcott scored 14 and 168 not out at Lord's in 1950. On the other hand, the Indian record belonged to former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who scored 77 and 74 not out at the same venue in 2011.

Pant also broke his teammate Virat Kohli's record. Kohli scored 200 runs at the venue, the most by an Indian batter at Edgbaston. Kohli scored 149 runs in the first innings followed by a half-century in the losing cause.

The 23-year-old also joined the list of Indian legends who have scored 200 or more runs in England in a single Test. Vinoo Mankad is on the top of the list with 256 runs (72 and 184) followed by Sachin Tendulkar (251), Sunil Gavaskar (234), Rahul Dravid (217) and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi (212 runs). Kohli has scored 200 runs twice in a Test in England.

Earlier, Pant became the first wicketkeeper-batter to score more than one century in England. He shared a 222-run partnership in the first innings with Ravindra Jadeja. It is the joint-highest partnership for sixth-wicket or lower.
