India veteran wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul lauded Rishabh Pant and Chris Woakes for their efforts in the five-Test match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Both Pant and Woakes show their dedication for their respective teams by coming to bat despite getting an injury.

Rishabh Pant injury

India vice-captain Pant, who was punishing England bowlers, got injured in the fourth Test match while batting. He fractured his leg while batting and left the field midway, but after India were nine wickets down, the wicketkeeper batter came again, limping on the field to add more runs to the team's total, and he managed to score 17 runs before getting dismissed by Jofra Archer. The clash was ended in a draw, and after that, he got a plaster on his broken toe. Pant was among the highest run-getters despite batting in 7 innings; he scored 479, including two centuries and three half-centuries.

Chris Woakes injury

Woakes got injured on Day 1 of the fifth Test match. He dislocated his shoulder while diving to save a run on the boundary. Despite leaving the field after heavy pain, he again walked out to bat when England required 17 runs to win the Oval Test with just one wicket remaining, despite being in excruciating pain while walking out to bat and running between the wickets with his left arm in a sling. Woakes who featured in all five Test matches, has picked up 11 wickets and scored 64 runs.

The five Test match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 has been ended in a 2-2 draw where India won the second and fifth Test match and England defeated India in the first and third clash and the fourth Test match between India and England ended in a draw.
