Mumbai Indians speedster Deepak Chahar, who is currently spending quality time in London, was recently spotted practising alongside Shubman Gill-led Team India ahead of the third Test match against England at iconic Lord's Stadium in London. The third Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 will take place from 10 to 14 July.
Chahar is not part of India's Test squad for the ongoing five-Test match series against England, but is currently in the UK. Sports Tak's correspondent in London reported that Deepak Chahar was practising with the Indian squad. Here are the pictures.
Chahar has represented India in 13 ODIs and 25 T20Is for India, but is yet to make his Test debut. The fast-bowling all-rounder has 47 wickets and 256 runs across two white-ball formats. His last outing came in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he featured for the Mumbai Indians (MI). He took 11 wickets in 14 games at an economy of 9.17.
Coming back to the five-Test match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, after defeating England in the second Test, the series is currently tied 1-1. India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the second Test due to workload management, will likely to be included in the playing XI for the third Test at Lord's Stadium in London.
England have already announced their playing XI for the third Test, where speedster Jofra Archer has been included in the playing XI after a long gap of four years. Archer's last Test outing came in February 2021 against India in Ahmedabad.
