In just two matches, Mayank Yadav has instilled fear inside the opposition batters with his rampaging pace along with delivering the fastest ball of the 2024 IPL and 4th fastest delivery in the tournament's history.

Mayank Yadav has bowled eight overs (48 balls) in his IPL career so far. Out of those 48 balls, 17 deliveries have been in the access of 150 kmph. His fastest delivery of the season is 156.7 which came against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 2 (Tuesday). Mayank blew away RCB with a breathtaking spell and finished with phenomenal figures of 3/14 in four overs.

Probably the most astonishing record is that Mayank Yadav now holds the record for bowling the most 155+ kmph deliveries in IPL history. In just two matches, the 21-year-old pacer has bowled three balls over 155+ kmph. Umran Malik has bowled two 155+ kmph deliveries in 26 matches while Anrich Nortje has also bowled two 155+ kmph balls but he took 42 matches.

Mayank Yadav is enjoying a fairytale beginning to his IPL career. In two matches played thus far, the right-arm pace bowler has bagged six wickets at a stunning economy rate of 5.13. After his second match-winning performance of the season, Mayank revealed that his goal is to represent India in international cricket.

"Feel really good, two Player of the Match awards in two matches. I am happier that we won both matches. My goal is to play for the country. I feel this is just the start. I enjoyed Cameron Green's wicket the most. There are a lot of factors to bowl quick - diet, sleep, training. I am focusing a lot on my diet and recovery - ice bath," Mayank told broadcasters after LSG's win over RCB.
