Though still young in his professional career, Angkrish Raghuvanshi has already begun making his mark. Across seven T20 matches and 5 List A games, he's shown a promising ability to score runs consistently. This, combined with his potential as a left-arm orthodox bowler, makes him a valuable asset for any team seeking to develop young talent for future depth.
Angkrish's cricketing journey took a significant turn at the young age of 11. He left Delhi for Mumbai to train under coaches Abhishek Nayar and Omkar Salvi for a week. Impressed by his talent, Nayar recognized Kohli's potential and urged his parents to consider a permanent move to Mumbai to further nurture his cricketing skills.
The Kolkata Knight Riders, renowned for their astute scouting and auction tactics, recognised this potential. They secured Raghuvanshi at his base price of Rs. 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction, a steal that could prove to be a brilliant move. It will be interesting to see how Angkrish fares for KKR in the IPL 2024.
