Punjab Kings' (PBKS) premier pacer Arshdeep Singh delivered a fantastic spell with the ball against Mumbai Indians (MI) and helped his side secure two points at the Wankhede Stadium on April 22 (Saturday). Arshdeep finished the game with excellent figures of 4/29 in four overs in a game in which more than 400 runs were scored. The highlight of Arshdeep's spell came in the last over of the match when he bamboozled MI batters and destroyed the middle stump on two occasions.

The left-arm seamer uprooted the middle stump and broke it into two halves with a hearing delivery which send Tilak Varma packing. Arshdeep followed that up with another sizzling delivery and completely eviscerated Nehal Wadhera's middle stump with a similar delivery.

The stumps used nowadays in cricket come with LED lighting. As a result, when the ball makes a connection with the sticks, there is a bright light, especially on the bails, which confirms the impact. The LED stumps are exorbitantly expensive when compared to stumps used earlier. A pack of three stumps and two bails costs around Rs 32 lakh.

With Arshdeep destroying two stumps in the last over, the Indian cricket board suffered a monetary loss of around Rs 20-23 lakh.

After leading his team to victory, the left-arm pacer sounded confident and revealed certain tweaks he has made in his run-up in order to avoid bowling no-balls.

"Feels good whenever I take wickets. Right now I feel even happier as the team won. I have shortened my run-up as it helped me with the no-ball problem and I am enjoying my cricket at the moment," Arshdeep told host broadcasters after the game.

After the win, the Punjab-based franchise jumped to fifth place in the points table with four wins in seven matches played. They now have eight points with an NRR of -0.162. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma's MI Rohit Sharma's men started their campaign with successive defeats but they won three consecutive matches before losing a close game against Punjab. They have an NRR of -0.254 with six points in six matches and are currently stationed in seventh place.
