Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bulldozed Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 112 runs at the Sawai Mansingh stadium on Sunday (May 14). RCB bowlers broke RR batters' back and folded them to just 59 runs, thanks to Wayne Parnell's stunning spell of 3/10. With this stunning win, RCB moved to fifth place in the points table and pushed RR to brink of imminent elimination from IPL 2023.

Meanwhile, Australian legend Tom Moody lambasted Rajasthan's humiliating defeat against Faf Du Plessis' brigade and termed the hammering a capitulation of outrageous proportions. Right after the match Moody took to Twitter to condemn RR's miserable display of cricket.

The clueless RR recorded the third lowest score in the history of IPL.

Meanwhile, RCB legendary batter AB de Villiers also lavished praise on Bangalore for their triumph against former champions.

Former India's women's cricket team's captain Mithali Raj too lauded RCB's stunning victory.

"What a win for RCB! At the top, Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis adapted really well to the slow deck. Anuj Rawat's 11-ball 29* added the finishing touches. And the bowling effort was really impressive, especially by Wayne Parnell in his spell of 3/11," Raj posted on Twitter.

Notably, five of the RR batters were dismissed for golden ducks as Shimron Hetmyer remained the top scorer for the former champions.

Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first. Faf du Plessis brought up his sixth fifty in the IPL 2023 as he cracked an impressive 55 off 44. Later Glenn Maxwell too joined the party and scored 54 off 33 riding on five fours and three sixes to help RCB post 171/5. In reply, RR suffered a monumental collapse and had a batting performance to forget as they were folded for just 59 runs. Hetmyer's 19-ball 35 helped RR avoid the humiliation of recording the lowest IPL score ever.
