England announce squad for India tour and ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup 2027

England Cricket Board (ECB) on September 25 announced their squad for the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 Cup 2027 in Nepal and Bangladesh. England have named a 15-member squad alongside five non-travelling reserves. 

Chris Guest is the head coach of the England's Under-19 squad. England are yet to name their captain for the World Cup. 

“This is an exciting opportunity for this group of players who will be the best prepared squad we will have sent to the U19 Women’s World Cup," Guest said.

"The aspiration as always is to win the U19 World Cup. Taking on board learnings from previous campaigns, we have gone about things slightly differently this time, ensuring that our players are getting some game time outdoors much closer to the tournament."

Before the mega event, they will also tour India who are defending champions. India and England will play a five-match T20I series in November and December 2026. The first two T20Is on November 26 and 28 will be played in Baroda. The remaining T20Is on December 1, 3 and 6 in Surat. England's preparations will continue ahead of the World Cup in January-February 2027.

Maria Andrews, Amelie Bishop, Phoebe Brett, Eliza Bristowe, Flora Davies, Holly Garton, Bryony Gillgrass, Genevieve Jeer, Amelia Oliver, Shristi Patil, Prarthana Reddy, Faith Teekasingh, Clara Thaker, Skye Thomas, Venus Weerappuli.

Non-travelling reserves: Ava Clive, Ivreen Dhaliwal, Libby Fellows, Lucy Randle-Bissell and Isobel Thorndike.

How England have fared in Women’s U19 T20 World Cups

England were runner-ups in the inaugural edition in 2023 and finished fourth in the 2025 edition. Meanwhile, India have won two consecutive Women's Under-19 T20 World Cups.
