Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is also a part of the IPL commentary team questioned Rayudu for his on-air remark. This incident took place when MS Dhoni came out to bat against Shreyas Iyer's Punjab Kings

"Aisa lagra hai Talwar lekr are hain Dhoni, bilkul chalega talwar aaj Dhoni ka Talwar chalega. (It looks like Dhoni is carrying a sword; the sword will definitely work. Today Dhoni's sword will work)" Rayudu said during the commentary.

"Dhoni Cricket khelne aye hain Guru? Yudh ladne nahin?" Sidhu wrote on his X while sharing the clip to question Ambati Rayudu.

When CSK required 69 runs off 25 balls, Dhoni came out to bat at number five. With three sixes and a boundary, the former CSK skipper scored 27 runs off just 12 deliveries. Dhoni's knock did not stop CSK from losing to PBKS by eighteen runs. On Friday, April 11, CSK, who are eager to get back to winning ways, will play the Kolkata Knight Riders at home.
