Yuzvendra Chahal set to miss PBKS vs MI IPL 2025 clash.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is set to miss the team's last Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 league clash against Mumbai Indians (MI), which is scheduled to take place on May 26 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Both PBKS and MI have already qualified for the playoffs of the mega event, and they are currently in the race for the top two finishes.

Gujarat Titans are currently at the top of the points table, followed by Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Mumbai. GT have played all their league matches while the other three teams have one game left. And all three teams have the opportunity to finish in the top two, which will give them two shots at the final.

As per news agency PTI, Chahal, who missed PBKS' last clash against DC and is now all set to be sidelined for the contest against Mumbai Indians as well. However, the out-of-favour India spinner is expected to be fully fit for the playoffs stage.

Chahal has picked up 14 wickets in his 12 outings of the tournament, including a hat-trick while featuring against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).  His best bowling figure came during the PBKS clash against Kolkata Knight Riders, where he picked up four wickets and helped his side to defend a modest total of 111 runs.

Meanwhile, the Punjab-based franchise will look to bounce back after losing their last clash against Delhi Capitals, where they failed to defend 206 runs.
