RR vs GT Match Prediction: Under-pressure Rajasthan Royals have a poor record against in-form Gujarat Titans, yet to win at home

Rajasthan Royals (RR) look far from a settled lineup as they gear up to take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at their homeground on April 28. RR have had their fair share of problems this season. The absence of Sanju Samson from the field  as captain has made matters worse for the Royals. They are practically out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs race and may look to spoil other teams' party and test their bench strength. Their opponent, GT are looking to seal their playoffs spot. They have almost all bases covered for the clash at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. 

RR vs GT Toss Prediction: 

So far, two matches have been played in Jaipur this season. In the first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chased down the total easily with nine wickets in hand. In the second, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won by two runs as RR bottled the run chase. The captain winning the toss may look to bowl first.

RR vs GT Top Performers: 

For RR, Yashasvi Jaiswal is their leading run-scorer with 356 runs from nine innings at an average of 39.56. His strike rate is 148.95. Dhruv Jurel, Parag, Samson and Nitish Rana have scored more than 200 runs but they haven't been consistent. Shimron Hetmyer batting down the order has not helped them either. Their bowlers have struggled as well. Their leading wicket-taker is Wanindu Hasaranga who has 10 scalps from seven games. Their pacers have been ineffective and performed in patches.

GT's top-order has been in fine form. Sai Sudharsan has scored 417 runs from eight games and is a contender for orange cap. He has scored five half-centuries so far and his strike rate is 152.18. Jos Buttler and skipper Shubman Gill have scored more than 300 runs. Buttler's strike rate is higher among the top-order. Also, Sherfane Rutherford has contributed well in the middle order. GT have purple cap contenders as well. Prasidh Krishna has 16 wickets from eight games. Left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj have 12 wickets each. Siraj has bowled most dot balls for them and is capable of containing batters in the powerplay overs.

RR vs GT Win Probability:

The two teams have locked horns seven times. GT have dominated RR with six wins from seven games. RR are yet to beat GT at their homeground. Their only win against GT came in Ahmedabad in IPL 2023. In the previous match, GT hammered RR with a 58-run win.
