Virat Kohli is taking a brief break following India's triumphant 2025 Champions Trophy campaign. The Men in Blue won the championship for the third time after defeating New Zealand in the final. Virat hit a game-winning century against Pakistan and was instrumental in India's victory. In the semi-final match against Australia, he scored an important 84. One of India's top batsmen in the campaign, Virat struggled in the final and managed just one run.
In the 2025 Indian Premier League, Virat will return to action with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Prior to the mega-auction, the franchise paid Rs 21 crore to keep him.
Kohli eyes to create history
It will only take Virat Kohli a century to make history. He is the Indian batter with the most tons in T20 cricket, having amassed nine hundreds. He needs just one more century to become the first batter from India to hit ten T20 tons. Virat has eight T20 league hundreds and scored his first one during the 2016 Indian Premier League. In Twenty20 Internationals, he has a century against Afghanistan. He will leave his mark on history with another century in the T20 competition.
On the list of batters with the most T20 tons, Chris Gayle is ranked first. He has crossed the three-figure mark 22 times. Babar Azam is in second place with 11 hundreds. On the overall list, Virat is ranked third.
