Himanshu Sangwan, a 29-year-old pacer, was born in Delhi on September 2, 1995. On September 27, 2019, Himanshu made his Railways List A debut while competing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the 2019–20 campaign. He debuted in Twenty20 cricket at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on November 8 and in first-class cricket at the Ranji Trophy on December 9. He had already collected five T20 wickets from seven games, 21 List-A wickets from 17 games, and 77 first-class wickets from 23 Ranji Trophy matches prior to the encounter against Delhi.
