Lucknow Super Giants' young talent Ayush Badoni showcased his impressive range of strokes as India A cruised to a six-wicket victory over Oman, securing a semi-final matchup with Afghanistan A in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup on Wednesday. Badoni scored 51 runs off 27 balls, helping India A chase down a target of 141 in just 15.2 overs, finishing their group B matches with a perfect record.

The talented right-hander from Delhi displayed excellent footwork against the spinners, notably lofting one over extra cover for six and executing a reverse slog sweep with precision. He also back-cut a delivery from an Omani pacer behind the square. In total, he hit six fours and two sixes before being dismissed just before the team reached the target.

Senior T20 opener Abhishek Sharma contributed a quick 34 runs off 15 balls to kick off the chase, while skipper Tilak Varma added a steady 36 not out off 30 balls, allowing Badoni to take centre stage.

Earlier, Varma rotated through eight bowlers against the senior Oman side, with five claiming a wicket each. Key performances came from left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore, who took 1/21 in 4 overs, and leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, who went for 20 runs in his 4 overs, collectively restricting the Omani batsmen during the middle overs.

Brief Scores:
Oman: 140/5 (Mohammed Nadeem 41; R Sai Kishore 1/21)
India A: 146/4 in 15.2 overs (Ayush Badoni 51 off 27 balls)
India A won by 6 wickets.
