The Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) on June 19 announced Prema Rawat as replacement for an injured Shreyanka Patil for the remainder of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. Prema was already a part of India A's tour of England which is scheduled to start on June 20. As a result, the women's selection committee had to pick her replacement for India A's T20 and One-Day squads.

U-19 WC-winning captain replaces Prema for T20s
For the three-T20 series, Niki Prasad has been added to the squad. While Prema is a leg-spinner, Niki is a batter. She had scored 75 runs from four innings at a strike rate of 120.96 for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026. She led India to ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup win in 2025.
Off-spinner replaces leg-spinner for One-Dayers
For the three-One-Day series, the selectors have picked a like-for-like replacement. 27-year-old off-spinner Minnu Mani, who was also part of the Emerging Asia Cup, will replace her. Minnu had picked six wickets from five games, averaging 12.
Minnu made her ODI debut in December 2024. From three ODIs, she has three wickets at an average of 43. Her economy rate wasn't impressive at 6.45 runs per over. She has played four T20Is as well, bagging five wickets at an average of 11.60.
The One-Day series will begin on June 28 and conclude on July 4.
