BCCI announces India Under-19 squad for Australia series: Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag’s sons Anway and Aaryavir make the One-Day team

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on August 27 announced the India Under-19 squad for One-Day and multi-day games against Australia at home. Lakhsya Raichandani will lead in One-Days whereas Yashbardhan Chauhan will lead in the red-ball games. India’s legendary batters Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag’s sons – Anvay Dravid and Aaryavir Sehwag – have made it to the One-Day team.

Anvay has retained his spot in the team. He had scored 87 runs against Sri Lanka Under-19 team in Hambantota last month. It ended in a losing cause. This is Aaryavir's maiden call-up. Aaryavir recently played two games for West Delhi Lions in Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026. He scored 22 runs from 14 balls against New Delhi Tigers. In the match against Central Kings, he was dismissed for a single-digit score.

Australia U19 squad for India tour:

Kasey Barton, Hayden Barbulovic, Eli Brain, Will Byrom, Black Cattle, Jack Czosnek, Spencer Green, Connon Gregory, Charlie Henderson, Zed Hollick, Matthew Logh, Neel Patel, Jacob Pietz, Patrick Sullivan, Theo Tsingos, Thomas Vaseo.

IND U19 vs AUS U19 schedule

The One-Day series will begin on September 18 and end on September 23. All the games will be played at Rajkot's Niranjan Shah Stadium. The first red-ball game will begin on September 27 at the same venue as well. Then, on October 5, the second red-ball game will commence at Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground, Ahmedabad.
