BCCI announces India women's A squads for home series against Australia A

India A Women are set to host Australia A Women in an upcoming multi-format home series following squad announcements by the BCCI Women’s Selection Committee. The bilateral tour will test both sides across three distinct formats, featuring three T20s, three 50-over One-Day clashes, and a single red-ball four-day fixture.

India A squads for multi-series against Australia A

The action kicks off in New Chandigarh, where the two sides will battle in three T20 fixtures on September 12, 15, and 17. Following the shortest format, the series shifts to the PCA Stadium in Mohali for the 50-over encounters, scheduled for September 20, 23, and 25. The tour will finally come to a close in scenic Dharamshala, where the teams will compete in a four-day Multi-Day match running from September 29 to October 2.

Leadership responsibilities for the series have been split to maximize team balance across formats. Anushka Sharma takes the helm as captain of the India A T20 squad alongside vice-captain Sayali Satghare. For the 50-over and Multi-Day fixtures, experienced wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia assumes the captaincy role, with Sharma stepping in as her deputy for both squads. Across all three formats, selectors have opted for a strategic blend of proven domestic performers and emerging talent, giving the contingent crucial international exposure against a formidable Australian setup.

The red-ball squad in particular highlights this mix of experience and rising prospects under Bhatia's leadership and Sharma's support. The multi-day unit features key names including Shubha Satheesh, Priya Punia, Tanisha Singh, Tejal Hasabnis, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita, and fast bowler Shabnam Shakeel. Going up against a strong Australia A side, India A will aim to test their depth and deliver a competitive showing on home turf.
