Having made his debut in Test cricket almost 14 years ago, Virat Kohli has been instrumental in India's rise to become one of the most successful teams in the format over the past decade. His contribution has been widely recognized as crucial to the team's achievements in Test matches.
“He’s still incredibly fit and hungry. His presence in the dressing room lifts the entire team. We’ve requested him to take some time before making a final call," the BCCI official was quoted as saying to IANS.
