The Afghanistan vs New Zealand Test match will start on September 9.

Afghanistan young pacer Naveed Zadran has been ruled out of their only Test match against New Zealand which is scheduled to start from September 9 to 13 at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex. Naveed will miss the Test match due to a side strain injury and physio has advised him to rest for 3-4 weeks.

Naveed made his Test debut in Sri Lanka on February 2, 2024. He played two Test matches for Afghanistan where he picked up nine wickets.

Afghanistan Cricket Board took their ‘X’ to announce that the physio advised him to rest for 3-4 weeks.

“Naveed Zadran has been ruled out of Afghanistan’s only test match against New Zealand due to side strain injury. The physio has advised him to rest for 3-4 weeks hoping that he gets better before the South Africa ODI series in UAE” said Afghanistan Cricket Board.
