What happens if the semifinal or final is washed out?
If the semifinal or the final clash of the T20 World Cup 2026 ended without a result due to rain, then the cricketing governing body have announced a reserve day. But there are very less chances of rain during that time.
What will be India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2026
will reportedly select identical squads for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand and the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The five-match T20I series against New Zealand is scheduled to start from January 21 with the first clash taking place in Nagpur.
T20 World Cup squad announcement rules
While the schedule of the T20 World Cup yet to be announced, the 20-team tournament is likely to take place in February. The ICC tournament rules mandate teams to submit their final 15-member squad a month before the tournament. The selection committee will announce their picks with an option to make changes till a specified cut-off date. The same rule also took place in the last edition of the tournament hosted by the USA and the West Indies.
