India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will most likely to miss the first Test match against the West Indies, which is scheduled to take place from October 2-6. Bumrah's last red-ball outing came during the fourth Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, where he picked up two wickets in one inning, which was ended in a draw.
PTI reported that Bumrah will be part of India's Asia Cup 2025 squad, which will take place in the UAE, and to manage his workload, he will be rested for the opening Test against the West Indies.
Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to start from September 9, and Team India will start their campaign on September 10 against the UAE. The high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will take place on September 14 at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

Samson will be the first wicketkeeper, and the second wicket-keeper will be picked between Jitesh Sharma and Dhruv Jurel. While Jurel was a part of the last T20 series, Jitesh had been impressive for RCB during their IPL-winning campaign. He has also revelled in the role of a finisher.
