He was roped in by CSK for INR 30 Lakh.

Chennai Super Kings's young star Andre Siddarth, who is currently a member of India's U19 Asia Cup team will not be participating in the upcoming edition of the Under-19 World Cup due to an unlucky reason. The rising star's dream of representing India would be crushed because he was only three days past the age cutoff. The deadline for tournament eligibility was September 1, 2006, while the newest member of the CSK franchise was born on August 28, 2006. He will therefore be unable to participate in the upcoming mega event.

CSK's surprise pick

CSK surprised everyone by roping in Siddarth to their squad for the upcoming IPL season for INR 30 Lakh. As the batter from Tamil Nadu knows Chepauk like the back of his hand, his selection is considered a great choice by the five-time champions.

Sidharth quickly established himself for Tamil Nadu in the domestic setup and put up some outstanding performances against the opposition's potent bowling assault. The young player was selected for the India squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup because of his exceptional play.

He struggled to play well and only scored 15 runs in the first match against Pakistan. He did, however, demonstrate his batting ability against the Japan team by scoring an outstanding 35. He has played in six matches and amassed 372 runs, including four fifties, in the current Ranji Trophy, demonstrating his noteworthy talent.

Since Siddharth has not played for his domestic cricket team in white-ball formats, his T20 performance is currently unknown. But given his natural aptitude, the accomplishment will undoubtedly come at some point.
