PCB Chairman assures visa for Indian fans.

A swift visa issuing policy for Indian supporters hoping to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy early next year has been promised by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Federal Interior Minister, on Friday. He gave the guarantees when he met with a group of American Sikh pilgrims. According to Naqvi, the PCB was anticipating a favourable reaction from Indian supporters who would go to Pakistan to watch the Champions Trophy.

"We will be keeping a special quota of tickets for Indian fans and we will try to make the visa issuance policy brisk," Naqvi was quoted as saying by a newspaper.

According to Naqvi, the PCB is in favour of Indian supporters travelling to Pakistan to attend the India vs Pakistan game in Lahore.

The ICC mega event is set to take place in Pakistan in February and March of 2025, but the organization has not yet announced the tournament schedule because they are awaiting word on whether the Indian government would permit their team to travel to Pakistan for the event.

When it comes to touring Pakistan, the BCCI has stated unequivocally that it must abide by whatever policy decisions made by its government. Since the Mumbai terror assault in 2008, no Indian team has visited Pakistan. Since 2007, the two nations have not played a Test series.
