Story Highlights:

Kieron Pollard was in the way of Shubham Ranjane as he was running to the other end.

MI New York beat Texas Super Kings by 8 wickets.

MI New York’s veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard was involved in another heated altercation with a USA player, Shubham Ranjane, during the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2026. In the clash against Texas Super Kings, Pollard got involved in a collision with Ranjane who was running between the wickets. On the next ball, he pulled out of his bowling stride, threatened to throw the ball the batter and then gave him a stare. Then, Ranjane gave it back to Pollard by putting out of his batting stance when the former West Indies captain was about to deliver the ball.

The incident took place in Super Kings' batting innings' 12th over. It was Pollard's first and only over of the innings. In the commentary box, former New Zealand pacer Danny Morrison felt that Pollard could’ve avoided the collision as he was in the way and had spotted Ranjane while the latter was watching the ball.
