Story Highlights:

The player has recovered and is fit enough to be available for the tournament

Hardik, recovering from earlier quadriceps/back issues and a subsequent calf niggle, has also been training at the CoE alongside Bumrah and others

Prince Yadav is fit and available after recovering from a hamstring niggle sustained during the second T20I against Zimbabwe in late July. The player has recovered and is fit enough to be available for the tournament, as per Sports Tak.

The Delhi right-arm quick was ruled out of the series finale but is expected to be ready for selection, with the home T20I series against West Indies in October seen as a realistic return target for the 24-year-old following a standard recovery timeline for such an injury.

Meanwhile, senior stars Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya continue their rehabilitation and training at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Bumrah, managing a left-knee issue, was ruled out of the Sri Lanka Tests and is rebuilding strength gradually; he has been seen training at the facility but has no fixed return timeline yet and is not fully ready for a competitive workload.

Hardik, recovering from earlier quadriceps/back issues and a subsequent calf niggle, has also been training at the CoE alongside Bumrah and others. He had earlier completed return-to-play protocols with availability projected from August for white-ball cricket, though recent monitoring continues amid the broader injury concerns in the squad. As of now, there is no update on their return.

These updates come as India manages a busy schedule, including upcoming white-ball assignments against Afghanistan and West Indies, with selectors prioritising long-term fitness for key players ahead of major tournaments.
