Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to sign Manchester City's striker Erling Haaland only if Vinicius Jr leaves the club this summer. The Brazilian has been linked with an attractive move to the Saudi Pro League amid negotiations  for higher salary with Madrid.

At this point, Vinicius is considered as one of the best wingers in thiant pace world of football, known for his brilliant pace and finishing skills, He has scored 106 goals and 83 assists in 322 outings for Real Madrid across all competitions.

As per reports from Marca, The Brazilian winger had a meeting with Saudi Pro League's representatives way back in 2023 to discuss the league's vision and project. After two years, the oil-rich country has not lost hope on the star forward and has expressed an interest in signing him.

Amid all the chaos, Florentino Perez wants to sign Erling Haaland to replace him if the latter chooses to leave the side. The 78-year-old is tempted to have Haaland, who has scored 124 goals and 21 assists in146 matches for the Premier League giants.

Real Madrid will open their La Liga 2025-26 campaign against Osasuna on August 19.

Former Real Madrid player, Javi Garcia praised the club's latest addition, defender Alvaro Carreras. The former player noted the youngster's versatile gameplay, labeling him as perfect fit for Xabi Alonso's plan.
 

"He's a fantastic addition. Alvaro has the ability to play in several positions and do so very well. He can play as a full-back, a third centre-back, or a wing-back. That versatility is highly valued by a manager. He's also tactically very intelligent, and I think he's exactly what Xabi is looking for," said Javi Garcia.

 


After signing Carreras, Real Madrid will look to establish some stability in defence and come back strong after a trophyless campaign in the 2024-25 season.
