India's World Cup-winning spinner Harbhajan Singh reckoned that if Rohit Sharma enters in Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction then he will surely fetch a good amount of money. Rohit is one of the most successful captains in IPL, under his guidance Mumbai Indians (MI) won five IPL titles which is joint most by any team. However, during the last edition of the tournament, MI appointed Hardik Pandya as his successor for the franchise and there are rumours that Rohit will leave the franchise before the IPL 2024 mega auction.

Rohit Sharma is currently on a break and he was recently spotted at MI office ahead of IPL mega auction.

"It will be interesting to see whether he will be retained or not. If he goes into the auction pool, it will be fascinating to see which team bids for him. I’m sure many teams must be thinking along those lines," said Harbhajan on sidelines of an event in Delhi.

Rohit Sharma, as a leader and a player, is amazing. He’s a top-quality player, top-quality captain, and leader. He’s a proven match-winner. Even at 37, he still has a lot of cricket left in him. If Rohit enters the auction, he will fetch big bucks. It will be exciting to see the auction unfold," the veteran spinner added.

Harbhajan also revealed his chemistry with India's Test and ODI skipper Rohit. He praise Rohit for respecting the elders and also called him "yaaro ka yaar".

"Rohit toh yaaro ka yaar hai. Apna bhai hai. I’m happy India won the World Cup under him. It’s always great to see him smiling. He respects his elders, and that’s one of his best qualities," said Harbhajan.
