India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently spending time with his family after the T20 World Cup 2026 triumph, recently celebrated a special milestone in his personal life. Bumrah and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on March 15. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony back in Goa 2021, shared glimpses of the occasion with their fans on social media.

To celebrate the occasion, Bumrah posted a couple of photos with Sanjana on Instagram and kept his caption simple with just two words: “Happy anniversary.” Fans and his IPL team, Mumbai Indians, quickly filled the comments with congratulations. 

However, Sanjana stole the spotlight with a playful reply to his short caption, joking, “Kidney touching caption yaar,” which made many fans laugh.

Sanjana also shared a few pictures of the two of them. In her heartfelt message, she wrote that no matter where life takes them or how busy the world becomes, they always have each other. She described Bumrah as her best friend and said their story together is her favourite, ending the note by celebrating five years of marriage.

Bumrah's T20 World Cup 2026 performance

Bumrah who missed the T20 World Cup 2026 opener clash against the USA due to illness, was one of India’s standout performers in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2026. The speedster picked up 14 wickets in eight outings of the tournament. 

His best performance came in the final against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8. Bumrah was unplayable the title decider as he picked up four wickets, conceding 15 runs in his four-over quota. India won the final by 96 runs and Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling.

Bumrah's upcoming outing

After helping India lift their third T20 World Cup title, Bumrah will now be seen featuring in the  IPL 2026 with the Mumbai Indians. The tournament is scheduled to begin on March 28 with a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Bumrah could also reach a big milestone this season. He currently has 183 wickets in 145 matches for the Mumbai Indians. If he continues his strong form, he could become the first player to take 200 wickets for the franchise in the IPL.
