South Africa head coach Shukri Conrad has confirmed that experienced players Miller and De Kock are part of their side's plans for next year's ODI World Cup at home.
"Quinny is going to be playing whenever we need him to play," Shukri Conrad, South Africa's head coach, said on Monday. "ODI cricket is probably Quinny's best format and he will play all the ODIs. David will play Australia and probably miss Bangladesh because he has ILT20 commitments."
In the absence of an injured Kagiso Rabada, South Africa have recalled 25-year-old Gerald Coetzee whose previous ODI appearance was in the ODI World Cup 2023 on Indian soil.

"It's great to see Gerald back in the fold and, by all accounts, he's been bowling nice and quickly," Conrad said.
Meanwhile, Conrad gave an update on Rabada. The veteran pacer is not ruled out of the three-Test series yet as he continues to be monitored. Also, Anrich Nortje wasn't considered for the ODIs ahead of Coetzee as Conrad feels that the pacer hasn't done enough of late. But, he told the reporters not to be surprised if he is recalled for Bangladesh series later this year.
Notably, Dewald Brevis is missing from the squad. Conrad says that he is direct competition with Matthew Breetzke, Tristan Stubbs and Miller in the middle order. For now, Brevis will prepare for the red-ball series by playing first-class cricket. He may return to the ODIs for Bangladesh series as well.
