South Africa's GT and RR recruits rise more than 60 places in ICC T20I batter rankings

South Africa's Connor Esterhuizen and Lhuan-dre Pretorius have made massive jumps in the latest ICC men's T20I batter rankings. Esterhuizen jumped 65 places after knocks of 88 and 32 in the recently-concluded T20I series on Namibia soil. He has occupied the 25th place, just behind Australia's bid-hitter Tim David.

Pretorius made a huge jump too and is now level with Pakistan's Test captain Babar Azam at 44th place. 20-year-old Pretorius had scored 94 against Zimbabwe and then 101 against Namibia before getting ruled out of the tri-series final due to an injury. He made a huge gain of 61 places.

Meanwhile, India's in-form wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan continues to be at the top with 910 rating points, 62 ahead of the second place Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan.

Namibia batters move up too 

Among Namibia batters, their captain Gerhard Erasmus made huge gain of 16 places to take 55th spot, above Sri Lanka all-rounder Dasun Shanaka and New Zealand's Glenn Phillips. Namibia's Louren Steenkamp climbed up 32 places to stay level with Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman and South Africa's Tristan Stubbs at 73rd place.

Mapkhaka makes big jump too

In the bowling department, Proteas young left-arm pacer Kwena Maphaka went up 16 places to take the 38th place, just below Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood. Zimbabwe pace-bowling all-rounder picked up 12 wickets in the tri-series and moved up four places to take the 22nd place. He is placed higher than India's left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh.

South Africa's stand-in T20I captain Bjorn Fortuin too 10 wickets in the tri-series and got a 37-place jump as reward for his performances. He is now ranked 78th, just below Pakistan's Shadab Khan.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is still the top-ranked T20I bowler in the world. For India, only Varun Chakaravarthy is in top 10.

Erasmus among top 10 all-rounders

In the T20I all-rounder rankings, Namibia skipper Erasmus entered top ten. He moved up four spots to take eighth place, above Afghanistan veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. Among all-rounders, Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza holds the top spot with 321 points, 46 more than second-placed Pakistan youngster Saim Ayub.
