Two hat-tricks in consecutive overs! Indian-origin spinner scripts history on English soil, says 'I was flying in the sky'

Indian-origin spinner Kishor Kumar Sadhak scripted history on English with two hat-tricks in consecutive overs. Sadhak achieved the marvellous feat in the Two Counties Championship Division Six game.

In the clash against Clochester Cricket Club, Ipswich spinner registered figures of 6 wickets for 21 runs. He got five of the batters bowled. The wicket with which he completed his second hat-trick in the same innings was out caught. During the innings, Sadhak also affected a run out of Jaskaran Singh. Kesgrave were bowled out for 138 in 30 overs.

After Sadhak bagged a six-wicket haul, Sadhak made an impact with the bat as well. He remained unbeaten for 14, featuring two fours and a six. Ipswich chased down the target in 21 overs.

"When I saw that the person was bowled out, I was flying in the sky. It was amazing," the 37-year-old BBC Essex about how he felt after taking the sixth wicket.

The win was followed by celebrations. Sadhak became the talk of the town as his phone kept buzzing.

"After the match I got plenty of phone calls. We went to a restaurant and we enjoyed drinks and food. We spent almost two and a half hours there. It was a very lovely moment," he added.

Sadhak remains humble after a bowling display for record books

Despite creating history, Sadhak believes he will be prioritised. However, he is still not sure of being the first on the teamsheet.

"There are lots of other players who play really well. So, I wouldn't say I'm the first person on the teamsheet but I will be in a priority position!" he concluded.

Sadhak in Starc and Matthews' company

As per the BBC, the two hat-tricks in a game by a bowler is a feat achieved before. 113 years ago, Australia's Jimmy Matthews claimed two hat-tricks against South Africa. Also, Australia's left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc did it against New South Wales in 2017 in a Sheffield Shield game. However, on both occassions, the hat-tricks were registered in different innings.
