To power Kishan’s strong performance, Kushagra scored a fine century. However, following that, he was caught by a fielder as he tried to play a big shot, which didn't go well. His innings ended on 101 runs off 132 balls, including eight fours and five sixes.
This brought an end to the 130-run partnership between Ishan and Kushagra for the fifth wicket, and off-spinner Vijay claimed the first wicket of the second day for South Zone. Following his dismissal, Ankul Roy came in to bat, and a little later Siraj entered the field to bowl the final over just before lunch.
Ishan Kishan played Siraj’s first ball towards deep point. Despite the ball moving near the fielder standing close to the boundary, Ishan did not take the single, which seemingly surprised Siraj. He, as per the viral video on the internet, appeared to suggest that Ishan should take the single. Ishan Kishan responded to him, and both players eventually ended the banter with a smile. The friendly banter has gone viral on the internet.
