Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is currently featuring in the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-24-25 at The Optus Stadium in Perth. India's top order failed to perform in the first Test match as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal got out on ducks, Virat Kohli just scored five runs. KL Rahul is the only batter who scored in double digits before getting a controversial dismissal. 

Pant who came to bat after Kohli's dismissal has crossed to 30 run mark and currently building a partnership with fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. A clip is going viral on social media where Australia star Nathan Nyon asked India wicketkeeper batter about his future in upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Here is the video.

Pant who captained Delhi Capitals (DC) in the last edition of the cash-rich league has been released by the franchise before the mega auction of IPL and now he will also go under the hammer. DC have retained Axar Patel: Rs 16.5 crore, Kuldeep Yadav: Rs 13.25 crore, Tristan Stubbs: Rs 10 crore, Abhishek Porel: Rs 4 crore. IPL mega auction will take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 

Pant made his comeback in Test cricket during India vs Bangladesh series where he smashed a century in his first outing after more than a year. While writing this copy, the wicketkeeper batter is playing on 37 runs and his batting partner Nitish Kumar Reddy is playing on 27 runs. India are currently on 121/6.
