Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been in sublime form in the last few months. After playing a splendid knock as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain in a league match, Jitesh also won the title with them. After RCB's maiden title win, Jitesh has won another final in June 2025. Jitesh-led NECO Master Blaster defeat Paragariya Strikers by seven wickets to win the Vidarbha Pro T20 League.

Dighade plays anchor role, Jitesh finshes run chase with cameo

In the final that took place at the Vidarbha Cricket Association, Nagpur, Jitesh's side was chasing a target of 179. They got off to an ideal start. Opener Adhyayan Daga departed for a 16-ball 22. Opener Vedant Dighade and Aryan Meshram shared a 90-run partnership for the second wicket. Then Addhyan Rauthan departed for a single-digit score. Meanwhile, Dighade had completed his half-century.

Jitesh walked in to bat after the 14th over. His team needed 51 runs from last six overs. Jitesh went berserk and hit three sixes and a four in his unbeaten 11-ball 30 cameo. He danced down the track and hit a six off Kaustubh Salve for a maximum to finish the run chase in style. NECO Master Blaster chased down the total with two overs to spare. On the other end, Dighade remained not out for 80 runs from 52 balls, including eight fours and four sixes.

Shivam scores big after top-order collapse

Earlier, Pagariya Strikers lost three wickets for 27 runs in the fourth over. Shanmesh Deshmukh dismissed Dhruv Shorey and Aditya Ahuja off consecutive deliveries. Mohammad Faiz got run out for a 12-ball 19. Shivam Deshmukh shared crucial partnerships with Pushpak Gujar and captain yash Kadam. Shivam hit seven sixes and three fours in his 45-ball 82. Gujar scored 25 runs from 26 balls whereas Kadam scored 16 runs from 12 balls. Vishesh Tiwari's unbeaten 15-ball 23 helped his side post 178/7.

Jitesh's IPL 2025 statistics

Jitesh was RCB's fourth-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025. He scored 261 runs from 11 innings at an average of 37.29, including an unbeaten 85 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He scored at a strike rate of 176.35. He was roped in for Rs 11 crore by RCB in IPL 2025 mega auction.
