Rishabh Pant will feature in the T20Is and ODIs against Sri Lanka

India star wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant wished India's Olympic-bound athletes for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. Olympics are scheduled to start from July 26 where 117 Indian athletes including 70 men and 47 women will represent the nation and will look for their best-ever medal haul in Paris.  49 Indian athletes, including the entire archery, table tennis and hockey teams, have already reached the Games Village so far to participate in the multinational event.

Ahead of the Summer Games, the T20 World Cup champion shared a video message on his social media post for the athletes and captioned it, "May the tricolour fly high at Paris. Wishing our Indian Olympic athletes all the best for Paris 2024."

"Hello India, let's come together and support our Indian Olympic athletes who've been working tirelessly throughout the years to make our country proud. Let's show our appreciation for their hard work as they shine on the biggest stage of the world," Pant said in the video message.
 

India achieved their best-ever medal tally in the Tokyo edition by clinching seven medals, including one gold, two silver and four bronze.

Earlier, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced that they will help the Indian Olympic Association by giving them 8.5 crore ahead of the Olympics. BCCI secretary Jay Shah took his ‘X’ to make the announcement public. 

“I am proud to announce that the @BCCI will be supporting our incredible athletes representing #India at the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are providing INR 8.5 Crores to the IOA for the campaign,” Shah wrote.

 

“To our entire contingent, we wish you the very best. Make India proud! Jai Hind,” he added.

 

Pant was part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 winning team where he scored 171 runs in the marquee event and he will next feature in the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to start from July 27.
