The ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 in India has captured the nation's attention, but a significant historical moment recently took place during the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, a domestic T20 tournament.

The final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy was contested between Punjab and Baroda. Baroda, who had defeated an in-form team led by batter and captain Riyan Parag from Assam in the semi-finals, put up a tough fight against Punjab in the final, led by Krunal Pandya. Despite their efforts, Baroda fell short by 20 runs in the final showdown.

Punjab, led by their captain Mandeep Singh, made history, and the emotional impact of this achievement was evident, leading to Mandeep Singh's wife Jagdeep Jaiswal shedding tears in the stadium. Photos of the same did rounds on the internet after the big win.
