Team India started their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a 29-run win over the USA following a disciplined bowling effort after a mixed batting display. Captain Suryakumar Yadav led from the front with a counter-attacking 84 off 49 balls, rescuing India from 77 for 6. Pacers Mohammed Siraj (2/29), Arshdeep Singh (2/18), and spinner Axar Patel (2/24) then kept the USA in check, restricting them to 132 for 8.
