Former Indian captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni has dismissed the idea of taking up cricket commentary, stating the role does not come naturally. He explained that commentary requires balancing straightforward descriptions of match events with subtle criticism, which he finds difficult. Dhoni highlighted that identifying problems without singling out players is an art involving sensitivity and respect. Additionally, he expressed that his struggle with remembering statistics, including his own, makes the data-driven nature of commentary challenging for him, deterring him from this post-retirement career path.
