All the players who were a part of the group stages of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season but failed to make it to the playoffs have now returned to their respective home countries. 118 runs partnership with brother Tom Curran
Curran, who is the Surrey captain, won the toss and chose to bowl first in their T20 Blast match against Middlesex. They started on a poor note and by the time the score was 68, two of their wickets had fallen. Curran, who batted at number three, took care of the innings and shared a 118-run partnership for the third wicket with brother Tom Curran.
The duo took Surrey to a strong score of 199 for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Curran scored 68 runs in 47 balls while Tom scored 50 runs in 33 balls with 8 fours to his name.
Middlesex all out for 126
Chasing Surrey's target of 200, Middlesex did not get off to a good start, losing two wickets for 27 runs. With the score reading 93, half of their team was already back in the pavilion. For Middlesex, only Max Holden could score 43 runs in 23 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes to his name. The rest of the batsmen could not do anything special.
Because of this, the Middlesex team was reduced to 126 runs. For Surrey, Gus Atkinson and Will Jacks took three wickets each while Sunil Narine took two wickets and Sean Abbott took one wicket.

Sam Curran is the most expensive player in IPL auction history after being bought by PBKS for Rs 18.5 Crores. However, was not in his best form for his team this season, taking only 10 wickets and scoring just 276 runs as PBKS finished eighth on the points table.
