WATCH: Bangladesh veteran spinner picks nine wickets ahead of India Test series

Bangladesh veteran spinner Shakib-Al Hasan picked up nine wickets in the ongoing County Championship. He picked up nine wickets in two innings against Somerset. Shakib is representing Surrey in the marquee event happening in England. Shakib's fer helped Surrey to bundle out Somerset on 221. Shakib-Al Hasan will feature for Bangladesh in the upcoming two Test match series against India which is scheduled to start from September 19. 

Shakib took four wickets in the first innings

A match was played between Somerset and Surrey at Taunton ground in England. Playing for Surrey, left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan took four wickets for 97 runs in a spell of 33.5 overs. While Somerset's team was all out after scoring 317 runs in the first innings. After this, when Shakib Al Hasan came to bat, he could score only 12 runs but in the second innings, he again wreaked havoc with his bowling.

Shakib took a total of 9 wickets in the match

In response to 317 runs, Shakib's team scored 321 runs in the first innings. After this, Shakib opened his hands in the second innings and took five wickets for 96 runs in a spell of 29.3 overs. Due to this, the Somerset team was reduced to 224 runs in 63.3 overs in the second innings. Shakib has completed his preparations for deadly bowling against Team India by taking a total of 9 wickets in the match. Shakib, who has played 69 test matches for Bangladesh, gave his team Surrey a target of 221 runs to chase due to his bowling.

Bangladesh announced the Test team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the Test team for India after the historic Test series win against Pakistan. Bangladesh also included Shakib in the 16-member team and included Zakir Ali in place of Shoriful Islam.

Bangladesh team for the two-match Test series against India: - Nazmul Hasan Shanto, Shadman Islam, Zakir Hasan, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das, Mehdi Miraz, Zakir Ali, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Nahid Rana, Taimul Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Naim Hasan and Syed Khalid Ahmed.
