India defeated New Zealand in first Test.

India veteran wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul was seen whipping off the bails as all players assumed that the lunch break had been taken during the third day of the second Test match against West Indies at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Soon after KL Rahul's action, the umpires said that one over was still left to be bowled.

The incident happened after the 71st over of the West Indies' first innings when Indian cricketers reckoned that the session had ended and they started heading to the dressing room for lunch. The bails were already removed, leaving commentators, including Murali Kartik, reading the Windies’ scorecard, assuming it was indeed the break. Even the umpire walked alongside the cricketers, confirming the session’s end.

However, umpire Richard Illingworth moved his position at the non-striker’s end and called the cricketers back, which created a moment of confusion. Later, broadcasters revealed that Rahul had removed the bails, adding to the confusion.
