Australia to India: Men's Team that played most ICC finals

South Africa will lock horns against Australia for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, which is scheduled to take place at iconic Lord's Stadium in England from June 11 to 15. 

This will be the first time that South Africa managed to qualify for the WTC final and on the other hand, Australia are the defending champions of the grand finale. Here is the list of teams that featured in the most ICC finals.

India
India comes second in the tally as they also featured in 14 ICC finals. India last featured in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final, where they defeated New Zealand to win the title. 

England

England comes third in the list as they featured in the ICC finals nine times. They last played an ICC final during the T20 World Cup 2022, where they defeated Pakistan in the final to win the title. 

West Indies

West Indies cricket are currently on a downward trend, but they also come in the tally as they featured in 8 finals of ICC events. 

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka also comes in the tally as they featured in the ICC final seven times.
