India will compete across gymnastics, swimming, para swimming, boxing, lawn bowls and para powerlifting, with multiple medal events scheduled on Friday.

Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki return to the lawn bowls green after their opening-day victory, while Jadumani Singh begins his boxing campaign.

India's campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 gathers momentum on Friday, July 24, with athletes competing across multiple disciplines, including gymnastics, swimming, boxing, lawn bowls and para powerlifting.

The biggest medal opportunities for India will come in para powerlifting, where Ashok Kumar Malik, Parmjeet Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Suman Devi, Kasthuri Rajamani, Jhandu Kumar and Sudhir will all be in action.

Meanwhile, lawn bowls duo Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki will be looking to continue their winning run after beginning their campaign with a victory on Thursday. Boxer Jadumani Singh will also begin his campaign, while Indian gymnasts and swimmers will aim to progress deeper into their respective events.

Note: Events scheduled after midnight have been included as part of Friday's schedule.

3:40 PM: Para Swimming – RVVBK Budigina in men's 100m freestyle S13 heats.
3:56 PM: Swimming – Srihari Nataraj in men's 50m backstroke heats.
5:40 PM: Para Powerlifting – Ashok Kumar Malik and Parmjeet Kumar in men's lightweight category (Medal Event).
7:24 PM: Para Powerlifting – Jaspreet Kaur and Suman Devi in women's lightweight category (Medal Event).
7:30 PM: Lawn Bowls – Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki vs South Africa in women's pairs sectional round 2.
10:00 PM: Gymnastics – Men's team final (Medal Event).
10:30 PM: Lawn Bowls – Putul Sonowal vs Falkland Islands' Cecil Alexander in men's singles sectional round 2.

India eye another medal haul

India will be hoping for another productive day in Glasgow, with multiple medal events lined up in para powerlifting and the men's gymnastics team final. Apart from the medal rounds, Indian athletes will also be aiming to secure qualification for the later stages in swimming and para swimming, while Jadumani Singh begins his boxing campaign hoping to progress to the next round.
