Australia continue to dominate the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings following the latest annual update. Despite a slight dip of two rating points, the reigning leaders remain comfortably ahead with 163 points, reinforcing their status as the benchmark in women’s cricket.
England women's national cricket team hold on to second place with 128 points, still trailing Australia by a significant margin despite a minor improvement in their rating.
India women's national cricket team maintains a strong position
India have retained third place with 126 rating points, continuing their consistent presence among the top teams globally. The ranking stability comes on the back of their recent ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 triumph, where they delivered a standout campaign.
Despite a challenging ODI series against Australia in their most recent outing, India’s overall performances have ensured they remain firmly positioned in the top three.
Stability defines top six rankings
The latest update reflects minimal changes among the leading teams. South Africa women's national cricket team (100), New Zealand women's national cricket team (93), and Sri Lanka women's national cricket team (89) complete the top six, with all sides maintaining their positions.
This consistency highlights the gap between established teams and the rest of the field in women’s ODI cricket.
Bangladesh move up, Pakistan slip
Bangladesh women's national cricket team have made notable progress, climbing to seventh place with 73 points. Their rise comes at the expense of Pakistan women's national cricket team, who have dropped to eighth with 72 points.
The shift reflects Bangladesh’s improving performances in recent matches.
Thailand, Netherlands drop out temporarily
Thailand women's national cricket team and Netherlands women's national cricket team have temporarily fallen out of the rankings due to insufficient ODI matches over the past three years. Thailand are just one game away from regaining eligibility, while the Netherlands need two more matches to return.
The ICC’s annual rankings cycle will continue with further updates scheduled in the coming days, including the Women’s and Men’s T20I rankings, followed by the Men’s ODI rankings.
