Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is set to host the Uganda national cricket team for a white-ball tour featuring four one-day matches and four T20 games later this month.
The series will take place across multiple venues in Mumbai between May 18 and May 30, giving Uganda valuable match practice ahead of upcoming international assignments while also offering local players exposure against an international side.
According to the official update released by the MCA, the one-day fixtures will be played against the MCA Colts side, while the T20 matches will feature teams from the upcoming T20 Mumbai League.
The development has generated excitement within Mumbai’s domestic cricket setup, especially with the city preparing to host the fourth edition of the men’s T20 Mumbai League shortly after the Uganda series concludes.

MCA Colts and T20 Mumbai League teams to face Uganda
The four 50-over games will see Uganda take on the MCA Colts team, which is expected to include several promising young cricketers from Mumbai’s domestic circuit. The matches are likely to provide emerging players with an important platform to test themselves against international opposition.
Meanwhile, the four T20 fixtures will involve teams associated with the T20 Mumbai League, which returns for its fourth season from June 1 to June 13.
The tournament has previously served as a launchpad for several talented Mumbai cricketers and is regarded as one of the most competitive domestic T20 leagues in India.
For Uganda, the Mumbai tour is expected to play a significant role in sharpening their white-ball preparations. The African side has steadily improved in international cricket over the years and continues to seek high-quality competitive exposure.

The series is also another example of Indian domestic associations actively engaging with international teams outside the traditional bilateral structure, helping strengthen cricketing ties and providing wider opportunities for player development.
With eight matches scheduled across formats, the upcoming tour promises to deliver competitive cricket and valuable experience for both Uganda and Mumbai’s emerging talent pool.
