Croatia have secured their place in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ghana in their final Group L match at Philadelphia Stadium. 

Petar Sucic opened the scoring for Croatia in the 31st minute, but the celebration didn't last long as Ghana responded strongly when Derrick Luckassen equalized in the 73rd minute. With qualification on the line. Later, Nikola Vlasic struck in the 83rd minute to restore Croatia’s lead and seal the three points. 

The result saw Croatia finish second in Group L with 6 points, advancing alongside group winners England. Ghana finished third with 4 points and progressed as one of the best third-placed teams, while Panama were eliminated.
