NFL legend and Birmingham City minority owner Tom Brady extended a warm, musical greeting to Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham on Saturday, posting “Hey Juuuude ” on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet came after Bellingham scored an equaliser to hold Norway 1-1 just ahead of the half-time whistle. 

The tweet cleverly references the classic Beatles song “Hey Jude,” nodding to Bellingham’s first name while adding a blue heart emoji. The gesture highlights the growing friendship between the two athletes, who share deep ties to Birmingham, England.

The connection deepened further earlier this year when Bellingham followed Brady’s lead by acquiring a minority stake in the Birmingham Phoenix, a franchise in The Hundred cricket competition. Reports indicated that Brady’s involvement in Birmingham sports inspired the England international’s investment in the city he continues to champion. 

Fans quickly reacted to the former New England Patriots superstar Brady’s post, with many appreciating the lighthearted crossover between American football royalty and one of soccer’s brightest stars. As of this writing, England leads Norway 2-1 heading into the second half of the extra time. Both goals were scored by the Real Madrid star.
