Barcelona star midfielder Gavi has asked to sell Fermin Lopez after an alleged rift between their girlfriends, as per SPORT. The feud between two players started because their girlfriend never got along.
The matter escalated quickly and seems to have reached the boiling point. It is said to that Gavi approached influential presidential adviser Alejandro Echavarria, who is trusted by many at Camp Nou, and asked for Fermin to be sold.
Gavi's actions did not take time to reach Fermin's ears, and many thinks that triggered a cryptic post from the player on social media. The midfielder wrote:
"Bad people never win, nor those who look the other way, nor those who make betrayal their way of life and cowardice their banner. It’s only a matter of time. They lose every day because the makeup they cover themselves with every morning, sooner or later, fades away, and they end up revealing themselves to the world as they really are.”
The post has been deleted, but the situation remains critical. Fermin Lopez scored eight goals and 10 assists from 46 matches last season for Barca.
While Barca are not considering to sell him, but a proper fee could change their mind amid interest from Manchester United. On the other hand, Gavi produced three goals and three assists from 42 matches across all competitions.
This development will not be good for the LaLiga Champions. It is said that Barcelona boss Hansi Flick is the only one who can sort out the rift.
